Driveway Union was born on the autobahn. In 2018, a group of enthusiasts realized that despite countless forums, there was no single hub for drivers crossing Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. We wanted a place where you could find not only speed limits and toll prices, but also the unwritten rules: which rest areas have the best coffee, where police hide with radar, and how to properly use the left lane when doing 250 km/h.
Today, we're over 6,000 members strong. From weekend cruisers to long-haul professionals, our community shares real-time updates, plans group tours to the Alps, and helps each other navigate the complex web of vignettes, fines, and environmental zones. We've grown into a full-fledged club with local chapters in Berlin, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich.
But we're more than just a forum. Our club organizes monthly "Autobahn Sundays" — convoys that explore the best stretches, from the deserted A81 to the high-speed A9. We've negotiated discounts with European rental companies, partnered with lawyers who specialize in cross-border traffic fines, and created a mobile app that alerts you to construction zones and speed traps in real time, based on member reports.
Our ethos: speed with responsibility. We advocate for orderly driving — because only on well‑disciplined roads can you truly enjoy unlimited speed. Whether you're planning your first alpine pass or you're a seasoned Autobahn commuter, Driveway Union gives you the knowledge, the community, and the tools to drive Europe with confidence.
